Chapter 1:

Dark walked through the Dallbow streets alone that morning. His blond hair still wet from the rain earlier that day, his brown carheart jacket fully zipped over his flak jacket, only leaving the beaten bronze badge that had the term "Chief of DPD" roughly carved into it, exposed. On his belt he had holstered a Colt Anaconda, over his right shoulder was a Spas 12 shotgun, and a machete was strapped to his right leg. On his left shoulder was the strap for a back pack which seemed over stuffed, only able to partially zipper up, revealing the canned food contents inside. As he walked he smiled as the facade of the old Dallbow Police station came into view, the windows boarded and barred, and the door reinforced with steel, three over turned, shelled out police cars filling the street in front of it. "Home." whispered Dark to himself as he approached the door and gave four quick taps to the metal covering the once wooden door.

"That you Dark?" asked a deep voice from the other side of the door. Dark responded with, "Yes, is fucking freezing out here, can I come in now Pantz?" The door then opened as Dark faced a medium sized man with short black hair and paling skin, three lugers were placed around his body in various holsters, and a Trench knife was strapped to his arm. "Nice load?" asked Pantz, as he stepped aside to let Dark in, closing the heavy door behind him. Dark set the pack down on what was once the police lobby table, but was now used as a barricade time to time, before saying,"Got about 20 cans of assorted crap, take your pick." Dark and Pantz soon entered what had been turned into the barracks of the outpost, where two men, one being older with long white hair and even whiter skin, the other being younger with buzz cut brown hair and heavy eye brows, and a women, with neck length brown hair, were sitting around a make shift table playing cards, clearly the women had won, as she pulled the crumpled dollars off the table and into the pockets of her skinny jeans.

"Hi Dark," she said as she got up and began to move towards the door, zipping up her Flak Jacket over her tank top, stopping to say "Oh, before I forget, Virgil and Flagg, you two still owe me 15 when Dark gets our pay." After she left Pantz slapped the older of the two men on the back and said, "Told you shouldn't have played her, but did you listen?" The man shook his white hair out of his eyes as he stood and flipped Pantz off, reaching for a nearby katana and another Flak Jacket as he said, "I have to go on watch with Jill, later Dark." "Later Virgil," said Dark as he chuckled at the younger of the two men, still sitting with his head in his hands. "So you didn't warn Flagg too?" asked Dark to Pantz, "now that is just cruel, my friend. "Pantz laughed as he stared at Flagg, patting him on the shoulder as he said,"Rookie has to learn somehow."

Dark was about to argue when another man, this one being muscular, with short brown hair, dressed in Grey camo pants and a flak jacket over a black carheart, with a M1 Garand over his shoulder, entered and said, "Sorry to bother you after having just looted, but I have Sam on the CB Dark, he needs a word with you." Dark sighed as he said, "Alright, tell him I'll be on in a few minutes Sean." Sean nodded and left, just as Dark stood and gave one last chuckle before saying to Flagg, "Tough luck rookie."

The CB radio room of the Dallbow outpost was once the radio room for the previous inhabitants of the building, several chairs and desks all piled with radio equipment lined the walls of the room. Dark took his seat and spoke into the radio, "This is Dark, what’s happening?" A deep male voice came back through the static to say,

"Ahoy Dark, welcome to the CB radio." Dark watched out of the corner of his eye as Sean sighed and shook his head in annoyance, then spoke into the radio, "Let's make this short, what’s up Sam?" After a few moments of silence the voice came back over the static to say, "Neil has the months resupply shipment and guard payment ready for your team to pick up, when can I tell him to expect you by?" Dark sighed; he had forgotten that he was due to Nastya's for supplies. Sean could see his disappointment and said, "You knew it was coming eventually Dark." Dark nodded and spoke back into the radio, "Tell him we will leave tomorrow, and to not expect us to actually arrive for two days depending on aggro levels. Dark out."

Dark shook his head again and looked up at Sean who was now smirking and asked, "Shall I prepare the group?" Dark frowned and flipped him off before he responded with, "Go ahead."
